Château Pech-Latt - Wine
Grape Variety
10% Mourvèdre - 15% Grenache - 15% Syrah - 60 % Carignan
Food Pairing
This superb, full-bodied wine is the perfect accompaniment to steak grilled over vine shoots or lamb cooked with wild thyme. It is also excellent served with the region's goat's cheeses.
Colour
An impressive black cherry, dark red colour with a delightfully clear and bright appearance.
Nose
Hints of red and black berries, with-rounded tannins infused with pleasant spicy aromas.
Palate
Surprisingly intense fruitiness with spices mingling harmoniously with the wine's well rounded tannins. Smooth and silky, with a hint of vanilla and a long, fruity finish. It should age well, enabling the hints of spiciness to develop further.
Ageing
from 3 to 6 years
Service
This wine should be decanted half an hour before serving to allow it to breathe. It should not be served chilled as this will "destroy its aromas".
Ideal Temperature: 16°C - 18°C
